FreshPoint FreshCuts – General Warehouse Heavy Labour/Spin Dryer (No Experience Needed)
We are hiring general warehouse heavy labour/spin dryer to support our produce processing plant in Richmond (3500 Viking Way). No experience required and candidates must be able to pass a background check.
Please note that our Richmond location is in a refrigerated environment (around 5 degrees Celsius) and personal protective equipment will be provided.
Availability Required
Full-time, Saturday and Statutory Holiday availability
Shift start time may vary between 8am to 10:30am depending on business needs, advanced notice will be provided (e.g. 8am-4:30pm, 9:30am-6pm)
Responsibilities
Spin Dryer
Handle 70 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs
Transport washed product into and from spin dryer machines via barrels and totes
Assemble orders and build pallets
Perform repetitive motions such as push, pull, lift, toss
Support the production department with other duties per business needs (e.g. wash, cut, sort, pack, weigh produce)
Follow instructions from lead-hand or production supervisors to ensure production goals are met
Work with sanitizing chemicals
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements
No experience required
Basic English proficiency
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (around 5 degrees C)
Lift 30 to 50 lbs (heavy duty production worker) or 70 to 100 lbs (spin dryer)
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: From $20.30 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
