We are looking for a full-time generalist to join our team on the shop floor. This position is diverse and is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to different trades (welding, machining, heavy duty mechanic). Apprenticeship opportunities may be considered for candidates who are dedicated, hardworking, and exemplify excellent performance, attitude and the desire to move into an apprenticeship role (not usually offered during the first 6-8 months of employment).
Job Duties:
General shop organization and cleaning
Weld prep/plate prep
Staging parts for welding
Operating a CNC Plasma table – Loading plate, Cutting parts and Part cleanup
Operating a Bandsaw – Cutting stock to length as per drawing tolerance
Operating Drill Press
Assembling mechanical components
Operating Hose Press
Product Finishing- powder coating/painting
Prepping processor heads for shipment- shrink wrapping, loading for shipping
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing/shop environment preferred
Forklift ticket preferred
Mechanical aptitude required, general knowledge of basic tools preferred
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot, critically think to solve problems
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and capable of meeting the physical demands of the position
Must be hard working and eager to learn
