Salary:$67,079.00/year – $83,849.00/year

What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;

A professional, yet relationship-based and service-oriented approach;

Post-Secondary degree in business, recreation, or health-related discipline and YMCA management experience;

5-7 years’ experience and demonstrated success in leadership and management positions;

Strong financial management, human resources management, and fund development skills;

Well-respected and able to establish credibility with internal stakeholders and external partners;

Proven experience in the management of partnerships is critical;

Ability to develop and deliver programs, and integrate knowledge of YMCA programs in determining how to measure impact;

Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills with strong organizational skills;

Previous supervisory experience;

Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification

Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search;

Three professional references.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Duties and responsibilities include:

Fund Development

Actively champion the annual campaign, develop branch goals as part of the Association Fund Development Plan

Implement your stewardship plans

Model fund development best practices by executing your own personal asks for the annual campaign

Develop capacity and understanding in the areas of endowment, sponsorship, and major gifts

Staff Development and Capacity Building

Maintain an engaged and responsive staff and volunteer team by providing strong leadership and focusing on key annual branch and Association objectives

Actively develop your staff team utilizing a strength-based approach and by engaging in regular conversation about their performance

Be an engaged and active member of the Association Health and Safety committee

Ensure all health and safety systems, policies, and procedures are executed within your branch and within your spheres of influence

Be a member of the South of Fish Creek Operating Committee

Ensure YMCA is represented on external community groups that are relevant to building a centre of community and meeting local community needs

Maintain strong connections with our key partners in your community – such as local schools, community associations, Alberta Health Services

Ensure excellent service by identifying and responding to the needs of all users and partners

Commit to delivering exceptional quality in all programs and services so our participants are afforded opportunities to belong, grow, thrive, and lead

Retain oversight for all the key financial metrics and outcome objectives for your branch
