General Manager
Oversee and manage the operations and growth of CAD15-18M manufacturing company in the Plastics Manufacturing market, located in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
We are seeking for an experienced hands-on General Manager to lead all aspects of the operations, commercial and financial performance and development. The GM will be responsible for setting direction, executing the strategic plan, ensure Operational excellence and driving Company’s growth. This role requires a manufacturing mindset, proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities to deliver measurable business results.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s strategic and operational execution, ensuring best-in-class Customer Satisfaction and staying aligned with Group objectives and market opportunities
- Deliver financial performance – P&L ownership, cost control, margin improvement, working capital. Budgeting – develop annual Sales plan, CAPEX and Operating budgets with assistance of corporate staff and accountants and conduct monthly / quarterly budget control, monitoring ongoing sales versus budget and achievement of new business
- Oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency and continues improvement with a “Hands on” approach – do whatever is needed to support the team
- Drive commercial growth, develop relationships with key customers, bringing innovation and finding solutions that strength our market position.
- Ensure Compliance and Risk management: including corporate communication and making sure all Insurance coverages as necessary to properly protect the Company – commercial, liability, environmental and employee benefits policies
Additional Responsibilities:
- General banking and accounting activities with support of internal bookkeeper and external local and international accounting staff. Review A/R, A/P regularly
- Participate in purchasing activities and develop relationships with key suppliers, understand market conditions and generally monitor pricing and inventory levels.
- Participate in the ISO system management activities
- Performance and salary reviews for office / managerial staff
- Participate in HR activities as may be required from time to time, recruit and hire key managers.
