Role Overview
Position Title: General Manager
Location: Woodstock
Position Type: Full-time, In person.
The General Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all employees engaged in the Stamping and Assembly departments. The GM ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production, drives continuous improvement, supports new product launches, and develops the leadership capability of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations for Stamping and Assembly; drive safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Manage Maintenance, Tooling, Materials, Quality, Shipping/Receiving.
- Support production issues with equipment, tooling, and cross‑functional teams.
- Plan staffing and schedules (regular and overtime) to meet customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement: process, layout, metrics, and capital business cases.
- Oversee onboarding and training; maintain competency and development records.
- Support new product launches and resolve production issues with Engineering/Tooling.
- Advise HR on performance, labour utilization, and compliance.
- Communicate with senior management and run regular departmental meetings.
Key Requirements and Environment
- Automotive cold stamping experience is essential
- Leadership level: Must be an experienced Plant Manager or General Manager who has led other managers.
- Technical knowledge required: stamping, tooling, maintenance, production flow.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to lead a tenured workforce.
- Must consistently meet KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Compensation and Process
- Salary: Up to $160,000
- Bonus: Discretionary.
- Plant-based role with regular presence on the shop floor.
- Safety requirements: CSA safety footwear and eyewear required in production areas.
