Full job description
General Labourer (Shipping/Receiving)
The General Labourer position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including: data administration, banding material, cleaning, painting etc.
Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.
Performance Expectations
Maintenance of the 5S Program by keeping a clean and organized work environment (i.e. banding material, painting etc.).
Follow all health and safety rules and regulations.
Prepare shipping barcode labelling and scanning outgoing freight.
Attach travel tags to incoming material and verify packing slips to material.
Work in a computerized work setting by preparing documentation for incoming/outgoing material.
Follow all environmental and recycling processes.
Credentials
High School Diploma or equivalent general education.
Desired Characteristics
Able to communicate with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work.
Ability to work mainly independently and in team to carry out tasks which require cooperation, such as lifting heavy objects.
Willing to be able to drive a forklift and become certified with the proper training.
Learn continuously on the job through workplace training.
