Part time, Casual, General Labour Positions Available! – $20.20 to start!Canada’s number one printer is seeking motivated employees to fill part time, casual general labor positions in our printing plant in Calgary. We offer competitive starting wages, free parking and our location is close to public transit.RESPONSIBILITIES:The main function of this position is to provide coverage on the production floor on an as needs basis, including:
Take printed product off the stacker and arrange on a skid as per customer specifications
Monitor equipment operation and make repair/maintenance recommendations to the direct report.
Operate pallet jack
Contribute to overall plant cleanliness and safety standards
Apply & adhere to pressroom procedures.
Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures (SWP’s)
Working with the Press Apprentice Leader, monitor equipment set up and operation
Ensure thorough communication with team
Required QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience within a manufacturing setting
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Proven ability to work within a fast paced, team environment
Good math, organizational and communication skills
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have the ability to perform repetitive tasks
Shifts offered will be 12 hours in length, and will be available on days, nights and weekends!
Employees receive an additional $2.40/hour premium for night shifts.
Working on our production floor means you are part of the team preparing the printed product for our customers! The health and safety of our employees is a top priority. We provide health and safety training before you begin your first shift, and ongoing training throughout your time with us. We wear the below personal protective equipment during our shifts: hearing protection (provided), safety glasses (provided), CSA approved steel toed boots. We ask all employees to complete warm up for work stretching before and during their shifts, and work together every day to contribute to a safe work environment.Employees joining our team will be working on their feet for their shift duration, and will frequently push, pull, lift, bend and reach.If you are eager to learn, physically able to work 12 hour shifts and are able to pass a pre-employment physical, including drug testing and criminal record check, we want to hear from you!JOIN OUR TEAM!Salary: $20.20 /hourRequired education:
