Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and dependable Laborer to support our warehouse and construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks, including loading and unloading materials, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with order picking and shipping activities. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly desirable.
Duties
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, or other heavy equipment
- Operate cranes and other machinery safely to move heavy items within the warehouse or construction site
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving processes
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and process orders accurately
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly to support inventory management and logistics
- Support construction-related activities as needed, including material handling and site cleanup
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during equipment operation and material handling
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or construction environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Experience with order picker operations and shipping & receiving procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and load/unload machinery
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking
- Prior experience working with warehouse or industrial tools is advantageous
