Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our roofing team. This position supports roof installation, repair, and maintenance projects on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is physically fit, comfortable working at heights, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive job site.
Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and removal of roofing systems
- Load, unload, and transport roofing materials such as shingles, membranes, tools, and equipment
- Carry materials to and from rooftops using ladders or hoists
- Remove old roofing materials and dispose of debris safely
- Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including fall protection requirements
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed
- Report any safety hazards, equipment damage, or site concerns to the supervisor
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Prior roofing or construction experience is an asset but not required
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
