Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Laborer role located in Midland, ON. The General Laborer will assist with daily shop and facility operations, including cleaning work areas, organizing tools and materials, cutting steel, installation, and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities may include loading and unloading materials, moving and positioning parts or equipment, and safely operating basic hand and power tools, band saw. The role involves following written and verbal instructions, complying with all health and safety procedures, and reporting any hazards or equipment issues. The General Laborer will also help with inventory checks, waste disposal, and other general duties as assigned to keep projects and workflows on schedule.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, standing, and moving materials safely throughout the workday.
- Comfort using hand and power tools, with a willingness to learn proper operation and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented, on-site environment.
- Basic communication skills in English, both spoken and written, to understand directions and safety information.
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role is an asset but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant technical or trades exposure is considered an advantage.
- Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to commute to or reliably access the Midland, ON worksite.
