Responsibilities
- Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering efficiency for gardens and landscapes
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep turf healthy and vibrant
- Support greenhouse operations by planting, watering, pruning, and monitoring plant growth
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and removing debris to enhance aesthetic appeal
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like trimming, pruning, digging, and soil preparation
- Maintain knowledge of horticultural practices to support growing initiatives and crop health
- Assist with farming activities including crop planting, harvesting, and soil management when needed
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is highly desirable
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and greenhouse operations is a plus
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices preferred
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes required; familiarity with power tools is advantageous
- Strong understanding of growing processes related to plants, flowers, shrubs, or vegetables is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to safety guidelines
