Job Details

Position Title: Gender Equality Advisor

Status: FT Admin contract / 1 Year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Department: International Centre – International Development

Campus/Location: Hybrid / North Campus

Payband/Salary: ADM 03 $67,002 – $83,754

What you will do:

The Gender Equality Advisor will be responsible for supporting general program activities and to specifically pro­vide effective and efficient gender equality (GE) activities support to projects. Duties will include but not be limited to supporting the project leads, implementing recommen­dations from the gender analysis, implementing gender equality strategies, and supporting project partners and stakeholders.

What you bring to the role:

Education

Specialized University degree in International development, gender, law, human rights, social work or related field

A general bachelor’s degree would be considering with specialised training in international development, gender, human rights or related field.

Experience & Skills

Experience working on international development projects and research in the Global South

In depth knowledge of gender equality and women’s empowerment in developing countries and the ability to design intervention relevant to the local cultural context

Knowledge of research practice and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders for data collection and project implementation.
