Position Overview:We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Gasfitter – Class A to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of propane systems. Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and service propane systems according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on propane equipment and gas systems including vaporizers.
Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipe using required tools for the installation of gas systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with propane systems to identify and resolve problems promptly.
Coordinate with customers to schedule installations, maintenance visits, and repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Complete necessary documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and safety or service records.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to address inquiries, concerns, and requests effectively.
Requirements:
Valid Gasfitter – Class A license issued by AIT.
Proven experience working as a Gasfitter in the propane industry, with a strong understanding of propane systems and equipment.
Knowledge of relevant current codes, regulations, and safety standards governing propane installations and operations.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving abstract.If the applicant has an air brake designation that is considered an asset.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality and safety standards.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Holding the following certifications would be considered an asset: CSTS 2020, WHMIS, First Aid, AWP, Industrial Fall Protection & H2S Alive.
