Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Gas Jockey/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. A passion for technology sales and product demonstrations is a plus, as you will have the opportunity to engage with customers about our products.
Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues
- Engage in upselling and merchandising to enhance the shopping experience
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures
- Utilize effective time management skills to manage peak hours efficiently
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and interpersonal interactions
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable, particularly in English and other languages
- Familiarity with technology sales, including product demos and technical sales support, is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary
