Job Overview:
As a Gardener you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client’s outdoor spaces remain inviting and well-maintained. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including planting, pruning, watering, and weeding, as well as general upkeep of clients’ gardens, lawns, and landscaping features. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duties:
– Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to seasonal and aesthetic considerations
– Pruning and shaping plants to promote healthy growth and maintain desired appearance
– Watering gardens, lawns, and potted plants as needed, taking into account weather conditions and plant requirements
– Weeding flower beds, lawns, and pathways to prevent the spread of invasive species and maintain a tidy appearance
– Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as necessary to promote plant health and control pests and diseases
– Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns and hedges to keep them neat and well-groomed
– Performing routine maintenance and repairs on gardening equipment and tools
– Monitoring the condition of outdoor furniture, lighting, and other fixtures and arranging for repairs or replacements as needed
– Collaborating with other members of the team to plan and execute seasonal landscaping projects and special events
Skills:
– Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting
– Strong knowledge of plant care techniques, including planting, pruning, watering, and pest control
– Familiarity with a wide range of plant species and their specific requirements for soil, sunlight, and water
– Ability to operate gardening equipment and tools safely and effectively, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
– Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
– Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and kneeling for extended periods
– Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Schedule is Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
