SCOPE OF ROLE
Red Diamond is seeking a game designer to work on digital and tabletop RPGs. You will work on designing power progressions, enemy encounters, seasonal events, and balancing core mechanics. This is an in-person, full-time role open to Canadian and US-based candidates.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Creative, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused
- Kindness, empathy, and a desire to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to design compelling, mathematically-balanced RPG content
- A passion for gaming and working at a game studio
- College degree in a relevant field
- This position is an in-person role located in Halifax, Nova Scotia
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience designing power progressions for digital RPGs
- Prior experience designing systems and mechanics for tabletop RPGs
- Ability to expand on existing lore and worldbuilding
- Can sign either "Toss a Coin to your Witcher" or "Rains of Castamere" by heart
