Job Summary:
Lacour Inc. is seeking a responsible and reliable experienced woodworker to join our team in assembly and fabrication of high-quality office and trading desk furniture. This is a full-time position in a union shop, offering the opportunity to join the New Jersey Carpenter Union Local 252.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fabrication and assembly of custom furniture components
- Operate woodworking machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain quality and precision in all work performed
- Read and interpret shop drawings and project plans
- Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines and standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a woodworking manufacturing environment
- Proficient in the use of:
- Sliding Table Saw
- Edgebander
- Power Tools (drills, routers, hand tools, etc.)
- CNC machine experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of wood materials, joinery techniques, and finishing
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or in a team setting
Union Membership:
This is a union position. Candidate must be eligible and willing to join Carpenter Union Local 252 in New Jersey.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
