Rushnell Funeral Homes Inc. is seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Funeral Director Class 1 to join our team.
We have opportunities available within our established funeral homes serving Belleville, Trenton, Brighton, and surrounding communities. Location can be discussed and matched based on the successful candidate’s preference, experience, and the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will assist families through all aspects of funeral arrangements and services, while helping ensure every detail is handled with care.
Responsibilities include:
Meeting with families to make funeral arrangements
Coordinating and directing funeral services, visitations, transfers, burials, and cremations
Completing required documentation and administrative duties
Communicating with clergy, cemeteries, crematoriums, suppliers, and other professionals
Preparing and maintaining funeral home facilities and vehicles
Assisting with day-to-day funeral home operations
Providing compassionate guidance and support to families
Participating in an on-call rotation as required
Qualifications:
Valid Ontario Funeral Director Class 1 Licence
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s licence
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
