Full job description
We’re currently hiring forEXPERIENCED Full TimeUtility Locator TechniciansinHamilton, ON.
Starting wage ranging from $25-$28/hour depending on experience. Company vehicle provided!
Schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Position will be responsible for locating traffic systems for the city of Hamilton.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Must successfully pass criminal background check and driving history check.
Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
Working Conditions and Hours:
Outdoor work environment
Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
Knowledge and Abilities:
Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
Develop a general knowledge of provincial and local damage prevention regulations
Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
