Dessert Holdings is looking for a Full Time Production / Relief Mixers to join our team based in London, ON. This individual will work in both mixing and production roles. However, production will take priority over mixing when scheduling. You will provide mixing coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (this is meant to be an outline, not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)

Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
Supply production team with batch output requirements in a timely, as needed basis.
Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency and productivity targets.
Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed promptly and accurately and submitted on time.
Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, policies and procedures.
Ensure the area is kept clean and tidy at all times, to prevent potential contamination and / or injury.
Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
Liaising with relevant personnel on equipment repairs as needed to prevent and minimize downtime.
Support the training and development of other members within the team.
Ensure the overall efficiency and productivity of the operation is maintained at a high standard.
Keep downtime, material and time waste to a minimum.
Providing direction, leadership and training to other mixers when in 1st Mixer role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.
Must have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a continuous process manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry.
Must have strong communication (oral and written) and comprehension skills.
Must be clean-shaven to be able to wear mandatory respiratory equipment.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. is required.
Ability to work quickly, under pressure, and have a sense of urgency.
Ability to record and reconcile information while prioritizing.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and multitask.
Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the department.
Excellent attendance record.

Shift Summary:

Required to be available for a minimum of five shifts per week from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being a regularly required shift.
Desire more hours? Increase your availability!
All the shifts are rotational and run for 8 hours with a 30-minute break added.

Schedule:

Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
Must be able to accommodate all the starting times on the specified shift.
Start times could be different every day,
A-Shift start times are between 12:00 am and 6:00 am
C-Shift start times are between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm

What We Offer:

Pay Rate: The probationary rate is $21.78 and full rate is $24.20
