Calabogie Peaks Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive Room Attendant.

The ideal candidate MUST be available to work on the weekends and should be available to work 6 days per week (in order to get more hours)

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor or designated

Job Type: Full-time (30 – 40 hours per week)

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for all guests at Calabogie Peaks Hotel. This position plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by providing high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, upscale resort setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Room Maintenance: Clean and prepare guest rooms, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities according to hotel standards.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly to the maintenance team.
  • Follow procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • Public Area Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational areas.
  • Ensure all high-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Laundry Services: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and towels as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens and cleaning supplies, reporting shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow established health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel and regulatory cleanliness standards, including eco-friendly initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in training new housekeeping team members as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a resort, hotel, or similar environment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with luxury or upscale resort standards (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance, extraordinary performance in punctuality, attendance, personal Hygiene and Customer Service
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and guest needs.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Calabogie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Housekeeping / cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
