Job Description:
Lead service in conjunction with Executive Chef and Sommelier.
Guide guests’ dining experience from start to finish.
Manage the dining room during service, resolving guest issues and assisting servers when necessary.
Manage costs of business through budget and planning. Conduct business with a goal to increase efficiency, reduce waste and boost revenues.
Manage reservations, reservation software and reservation inquiries.
Plan and coordinate large bookings and events.
Be aware of external factors that may impact business and creating a plan and calendar to mitigate effects on work flow (ie. concerts, plays, festivals)
Manage POS system including troubleshooting and cash outs.
Educate guests about food and wine without being pretentious or snobby.
Participate in a wine tasting and education club.
Qualifications:
Must have fanatical level of passion and interest in wine and food.
Must be self-motivated to continuously learn about changing trends and options in fine food and wine.
Must have excellent understanding and execution of fine dining steps of service.
Must be able to speak intelligently and confidently about wine, cocktails, all beverages and food on the menu.
Must be comfortable and at ease in the dining room, communicating with guests and coworkers.
1-3 years experience required.
WSET or ISG certification an asset.
Management experience an asset.
Event Planning experience an asset.
THIS IS A FULL TIME RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT POSITION. EXPECTATION IS FOR THE MANAGER TO BE ON THE FLOOR AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING SERVICE WHICH RUNS FROM 5PM TO ROUGHLY 11PM, WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY. THIS IS ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION.

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
