Slave Lake Inn & Conference Centre
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. This is a key position in a busy hotel where no two days are the same.
Position Overview
As a Front Desk Agent, you are the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring smooth daily operations of the hotel.
This role includes front desk duties, guest services, and supporting overall hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
- Manage multi-line phone systems and guest inquiries
- Perform cash handling and basic accounting procedures
- Complete room inspections and ensure readiness
- Assign tasks to housekeeping and maintenance
- Assist with laundry and back-of-house operations as needed
- Help with meeting room setup
- Assist in restaurant or off-sales when required
- Monitor and respond to security situations
- Maintain daily shift reports and staff communication
- Keep front desk area organized and professional
Requirements
- Experience in front desk or hospitality preferred
- Experience with RoomKey or similar PMS systems is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office
- Experience with cash handling
Schedules
- Day, Evening, and Night Shifts
- Must be available for weekends

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 2 years (required)
