Your Moneris Career – The Opportunity

You are primarily accountable for investigating assigned cases end-to-end, compiling and analyzing statistical reporting to identify evolving fraud trends, and seeking opportunities to enhance our fraud prevention, detection, and mitigation capabilities.

Location: You will be based in our Etobicoke office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Fraud Detection & Investigation.

Posting Type: Replacement

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $53,000 – $72,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career – What you'll do

  • Conduct fraud investigations and post boarding fraud-risk assessments including the accurate identification and confirmation of fraud types, financial impact assessment, and confirmation/completion of all appropriate loss mitigation steps.
  • Effectively manage active caseload and other assigned tasks. This includes and is not limited to timely, accurate, and detailed notation and record keeping; efficiently and appropriately managing financials within SLA; addressing inquiries and follow-ups in a timely manner; engaging Moneris-internal and external parties as required in a timely manner; and performing appropriate actions in a timely manner.
  • Promote continuous improvement and support the development and implementation of programs designed to prevent, identify vulnerabilities, reduce and recover loss by maximizing the efficiency of the investigative process.
  • Perform other duties, as required

Your Moneris Career – What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree/College degree in business or a related field
  • CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner designation considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of Card Fraud experience on the issuer or acquirer side
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of other Moneris Departments' policies and processes is preferred
  • Fraud and risk subject-matter-expertise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong and decisive decision-making
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal)
