Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Framing Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter who can work independently, lead crew members when required, and complete all aspects of residential wood-frame construction to a high standard.
This position requires someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and can efficiently manage framing tasks with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Complete all aspects of residential framing, including:
- Floor systems
- Wall framing
- Roof framing
- Sheathing
- Installation of beams, posts, and engineered products
- Layout and measurements
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Work independently and maintain productivity without direct supervision.
- Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced crew members.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with coworkers, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and organized worksite.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and meets quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of direct residential framing carpenter experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential wood-frame construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Capable of working independently and solving problems on site.
- Proven ability to lead crew members while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and safely handle construction materials.
