Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial framing, carpentry, and related construction tasks. This role involves reading blueprints, operating various tools and equipment, and working on diverse projects including restoration, siding, concrete forming, and finishing. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality building projects while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.
Must have fall arrest, and first aid certifications, telehandler certification is an asset. And must own all personal PPE.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing and carpentry tasks
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, floors, roofs, and siding using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks for foundation or structural work
- Operate heavy machinery safely for material handling and structural support
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged woodwork or structures
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood framing components with precision
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for tools and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in framing, carpentry, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, welding techniques, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing processes is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid <PERSON> (or relevant certification/license) preferred but not required
- Prior experience in restoration or siding projects is advantageous
