We're a small founding team in Calgary and we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about human connection to help us grow this from the ground up.
As a Founding Community Volunteer, you'll be one of the first people behind the scenes, welcoming new members, creating content, and making sure every person who joins feels like they actually belong here. This isn't a resume filler. You'll have real ownership over how the Koffeeyap community feels and grows.
What you'll do
- Welcome new members and keep them engaged before and after their meetups
- Help coordinate one on one coffee matches across Calgary
- Create and schedule content for social media, newsletters, and community updates
- Gather feedback from members and bring ideas to the founding team
- Track basic engagement and suggest ways to grow awareness
Who we're looking for
- Someone who genuinely likes people and wants to see them thrive
- Strong communicator, warm, clear, and reliable
- Comfortable creating simple written or visual content
- Organized enough to juggle multiple conversations at once
- Based in Calgary and available for some in person collaboration
- Background in community, hospitality, student leadership, or anything people focused is a bonus
