Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Formsetter role located in New Glasgow, NS. The Formsetter will be responsible for assembling and disassembling formwork and structures, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring accurate setups for concrete construction based on blueprints and specifications. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with construction teams, maintaining tools and work areas, and adhering to safety guidelines on-site to ensure high-quality outcomes for various concrete projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in formwork, such as hammers, saws, and levels.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to follow safe work practices.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor, physically demanding environments.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to precision and quality.
- Previous experience in concrete formwork or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork capabilities with effective communication skills and adaptability.
- Completion of Formwork apprenticeship or relevant certification is an asset but not mandatory.
