Forklift Operator/Warehouse Helper Jobs in Brampton at GN Warehousing
The Licensed Forklift Operator/Warehouse Helper will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment. This role includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. The individual will also assist with inventory management and ensure that all tasks are performed according to safety and operational standards to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.

Job Duties
· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move products and materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
· Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing products and materials in the warehouse.
· Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in proper working order and report any issues to the supervisor.
· Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
· Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular counts and updating records as needed.
· Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, ensuring that products are handled with care to avoid damage.
· Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse by following housekeeping standards and performing routine cleaning tasks.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
· Assist with packaging and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
Requirements
· High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
· Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
· Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
Work Conditions
· Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, high-visibility vests, etc.
· Exposure to a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
· Overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
