Forklift Operator
ABOUT US:
Coast2000 Terminals is Western Canada’s largest, integrated logistics facility, linking cargo moved by rail, barge and truck with global markets. We are hiring multiple Forklift Operators to work at our Richmond facility.
Coast2000 is a Western IntermodeX Enterprise and is a unionized environment.
Rate of Pay
Training Rate: $26.43
New Hire Starting Rate: $29.43 (when not receiving training rate)
Full Rate: $32.43 – after 6 months of employment
Schedule
Daily scheduling. Monday to Friday.
Shift start times vary from 6 AM to 2 PM.
Weekend OT shifts when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load and unload containers, trucks, and rail.
Check containers, container wash, and portable genset mounting.
SKILLS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Skills
Forklift experience – 16,000 lbs. or greater preferred. Training available.
Container handling experience is considered an asset but not required.
Working Conditions
Shift work is scheduled daily and based on seniority.
Industrial location – warehouse and lumber yard.
Indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, and noise.
Frequent exposure to heavy equipment that is operating on site.
