Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Foreman/Electrician to lead electrical projects on construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role combines hands-on electrical work with leadership responsibilities, overseeing teams of electricians and subcontractors to deliver high-standard electrical installations. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on construction sites, coordinating daily tasks to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, and power distribution components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety regulations
- Manage the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components in industrial settings
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits regularly to uphold standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial construction environments
- Strong background in industrial electrician tasks including PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Construction site experience with renovation projects and new builds
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and low/high voltage systems
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Knowledge of NEC guidelines and safety protocols for high voltage installations
- Experience with frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support
