We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced restaurant and bar, ensuring that the highest standards of service are consistently delivered to our customers.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

Establish methods to meet work schedules.

Monitor food presentation to ensure it meets established standards for appearance and taste.

Ensure that the restaurant operates in compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, cleanliness, and hygiene.

Perform other administrative tasks communicated by the Director of Food and Beverages.

Working towards exceeding customer’s expectations by encouraging and promoting high levels of service.

Ensure all complaints, inquiries, and suggestions from customers are attended to accordingly.

Ensure staff meals are set up on time, well presented and freshly made.

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.

Ensure food service and quality control.

Address customers’ complaints or concerns.

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

Prepare and submit reports.

Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres.

Supervise and check assembly of trays.

Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.

Manage customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.

Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared and served in a timely manner, and that any special requests or dietary restrictions are accommodated.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years experience.

Good sense of business; efficiency and cost effectiveness in terms of labour management in the absence of the Chef.

Able to cope under stressful conditions and work effectively as part of a team.

Strong leadership skills and an ability to make quick decisions.
