General Description / Primary Purpose

We are hiring 2nd shift Food Safety Quality Assurance Technicians to support our operations. In this role, you will complete FSQA tests on raw material, in process product, and finished product to assure product safety and quality in compliance with SQF.

Major Responsibilities and Tasks / Duties of the Position

  • Proven experience in all aspects of the Dole Quality process
  • Dole Quality Assurance experience helpful.
  • Complete quality checks to meet all quality parameters by product type as required
  • Complete food safety checks to meet all critical control points.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.
  • Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
  • Ensure integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Specific Competencies

  • Should be able to read and work in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Previous food quality experience is preferred.
  • Previous quality experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in cold temperatures (32‑35 °F)
  • Willing to follow PPE protocol (hairnet, hardhat, gloves, smock/safety vest)
  • Jewelry (earrings, necklaces, rings, watches) are not permitted on production floors.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, to work in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. Able to work in a cold environment (35°F on Plant floor).

Work Hours & Travel Requirements

  • 5‑day / 10‑hour work schedule
  • Saturdays may be scheduled as a 12‑hour shift based on production needs

Shift Details: 2nd Shift – $19.87/hour, 2:15 PM – until production is finished.

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma required.
