Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payments
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety standards
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned, including sanitation tasks and restocking supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Prior experience in food handling, cashiering, or serving roles is desirable
