Counter Attendant Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Greet customers as they approach the counter and take their orders
– Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
– Operate cash register and handle customer payments
– Keep the counter area clean and organized
– Assist with bussing tables and cleaning dining area
– Follow proper sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers
– Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate transactions
– Work in the kitchen to prepare food items as needed
Requirements:
– Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
– Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate change and handle cash transactions accurately
– Knowledge of retail math is a plus
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
