· Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices, duties may vary according to job assignments.
· Setting up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas, removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of work.
· Communicates with other flaggers using handheld radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
· Appropriately positioning of warning and detour signs around construction sites
· Operates vehicle and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures, conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to Superior Pocahontas standards.
· Performs basic manual labor as needed.
· Prepares reports and maintains records.
· Recording the license plate numbers of motorists who neglect to obey traffic signs and directions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
