THE OPPORTUNITY:
Community Fire Prevention is looking for aFire Suppression Technicianto join our team full-time. Fire Suppression Technicians are responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and installations of kitchen and special suppression systems. Working in environments such as restaurant kitchens, server rooms, and boats you will come across a variety of different types of special suppression systems in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual and semi-annual inspections of special suppression systems following all applicable codes.
Conduct Repairs and Troubleshooting of Fire and Life Safety Equipment as per the 2018 BC Fire Code and all applicable CAN/ULC and CSA inspections.
Accurate and timely completion of all Electronic Inspection and Deficiency Reports and other relevant documentation.
Participate in After Hours Emergency On-Call Rotation.
Maintain open communication with both internal and external contacts on inspections, project delays, and overall status.
Commitment to continual education and training in order to deliver next-level service to our valued clients.
Commitment to staying up to date with industry standards, product and service changes, and industry best practices.
Work towards certification in good standing with all relevant safety standards.
Provide a ‘next level’ experience when interacting with customers, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
Adhere to and embrace the companies Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
Additional duties as they may arise.
