Overview
The fire alarm/fixed fire suppression technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm and suppression systems. This job will be in the Kenner/Metairie area.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and fixed fire suppression systems (fire alarm, clean agent, high/low CO2 and water mist).
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with project and service managers, inspectors and clients to ensure compliance with the AHJ, codes and standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana State Fire Marshall Fire Alarm and/or Fixed Fire Suppression License is required.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to read technical documents and schematics
- Acceptable driving record
