About the Opportunity

Our client, a global leader in the insurance and financial services space, is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their collaborative finance team. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting that supports underwriting operations and strategic decision-making across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll prepare quarterly financial reports for internal leadership, global head office, and external stakeholders
  • You’ll maintain general ledgers and trial balances, ensuring accuracy across insurance operations
  • In this role, you’ll manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting timelines and deliverables
  • You’ll perform detailed reconciliations and present findings to cross-functional teams
  • You’ll support year-end audits and actuarial requests, ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • You’ll analyze large datasets using advanced Excel tools to identify trends and insights
  • You’ll collaborate with underwriting, claims, and support teams while contributing to ongoing system and process improvements

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive financial reporting or accounting experience
  • CPA designation completed or in progress
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis tools
  • Experience working with large datasets and financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
