We are a full-service financial firm in Oakville looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our team. We focus on long-term, trust-based relationships and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to accuracy and high-quality client service.
The Role
You will support our advisors by preparing client presentations, managing financial data, and ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly. This is a collaborative role that requires a mix of analytical thinking and strong administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis & Reporting: Gather data for investment, retirement, and insurance reviews. Prepare preliminary recommendations and quarterly client reports.
- Presentation Prep: Create client review decks in PowerPoint and ensure all calculations and data are accurate.
- Data Management: Retrieve information from investment managers, update client "vaults," and track investment history.
- Client Coordination: Book meetings, summarize meeting notes for clients, and respond to inquiries from clients and accountants.
- Tax Support: Prepare corporate year-end tax packages and coordinate with external accountants.
- Compliance: Manage all tasks according to regulatory guidelines and monitor contribution limits (RRSP, TFSA, etc.).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in the financial services industry.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma (Finance, Math, Business, Financial Planning preferred). CSC designation is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with industry software (e.g., Maximizer, Ndex, Razor, or Morningstar) is a plus.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of investment accounts (RRSP, TFSA, IPP, RCA) and basic knowledge of insurance products.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task under deadlines, and a collaborative mindset.
