This is to fill one full-time permanent position.

Reporting to the Manager, the Financial Operations Clerk is responsible for providing a variety of financial services to the Department of Justice including financial reporting, accounts payable, revenue and expense recovery while maintaining appropriate internal controls. This position is also responsible for assisting in coordination and compiling the departmental budgets, and for reviewing and advising on all departmental procurement documents.

Essential Qualifications:
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

Accredited post-secondary course work in accounting and/or finance
Considerable experience performing a broad range of financial functions such as: accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, financial data and financial analysis
Experience with Government contracts, funding agreements and trust funds may be considered an asset
Experience using Yukon government Financial Systems such as Quest, FIRM and Front End may be considered an asset

Candidates who have training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
Strong oral and written communications skills
Excellent time management skills including the ability to take direction from multiple sources and manage multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail
Strong client service orientation
