This global company in VSL is looking to bring in a strong controller with a designation for its renewable energy division.
This position is full of growth potential with very interesting work in a dynamic team. Please note that this role is in office 5 days.
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
– Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
– Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
– Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
– Utilize accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to maintain financial records
– Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
– Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees
– Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
– Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making processes
– Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– CPA designation
– Strong English and professional french
– Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
– Proficiency in using accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Solid understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting
– Ability to perform detailed account analysis
– Familiarity with payroll processes and regulations
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
