Financial Analyst, HomesThe Financial Analyst, Homes collaborates with Project Managers and other key operational team members to understand the business, analyze spend, cost efficiencies, and cash flows. You drive innovation by building and future proofing models and tools, analyzing and generating new financial and operational reports, and automating new and established processes.

What we look for?

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent practical experience.

Two to three years’ accounting or financial analyst experience.

CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent qualification is an asset.

An adaptable fast learner that takes interest and initiative.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query an asset.

Demonstrated knowledge in project cost accounting and reporting an asset.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in internal controls and processes an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Desire for continuing education and personal development.

What will you do?

Financial analysis of projects and new acquisitions, including the evaluation of revenue and work in progress.

Streamline, futureproof, and automate existing and new processes and tools.

Provide project accounting support to Project Managers and Construction Teams including various operational reports, cash flows, and variance analysis.

Prepare various ad hoc analysis as required by management.

Support the preparation of the Quarterly Divisional Update and other Board presentation material for the Housing Division.

Support in the generation of the annual budget, quarterly financial forecast, and monthly cash flows.

Maintain Lot Payables and Acquisition tracking for the Calgary and Saskatchewan regions.

Support internal inventory management processes, issuing invoices, and reconciling regional inventory.

Provide backup for key Monthly and Quarterly processes.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
