Our client is an established organization in Hamilton that enjoys long tenure of its employees. Due to growth, our client is has added a new Finance Manager position to the FP& A Team. In this newly created role, the Finance Manager will be in charge of driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives.

You will

provide expert advice and guidance to Program Managers and the

Senior Leadership

Team. If you are a CPA looking for a pivotal role which will allow strategic input to the

senior leadership

of the company, this is the Finance Manager position for you! As the Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for a complex program portfolio within the organization.

This is a HYBRID position which requires 2 days in the office. What you get to do every day Provide advice to Program Managers and

Senior Leadership

Overall financial responsibility for complex programs and initiatives Review financial performance-to-date and assess potential risks and opportunities Identify internal and external drivers impacting performance against trends Utilize Power BI tools to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data Collaborate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process Work closely together with cross functional partners across the organization Provide monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required Work together with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: retention forecasts, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic

resource allocation

and prioritization Monitor actual results against budget and forecast in order to help managers manage their respective areas What is in it for you?

· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is mandatory and you must be in good standing as a member of CPA Ontario (will be verified before placement)

· Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related field required

· Demonstrated knowledge of complex

financial analysis

and accounting principles, processes and guidelines.

· 10+ years’ experience in progressively more responsible positions in Finance, with a focus on  Financial Planning and Analysis.

· Experience in providing advice, support and facilitation with regard to financial management, including funding methodologies/mechanisms, performance, compliance and reporting.

· Advanced knowledge of accounting policies and guidelines.

· Advanced experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.

· Demonstrated ability/knowledge in performing complex

financial analysis

Able to

simplify complex information and convert it into operational plans.

· Experience with costing models, benchmarking, utilization, performance metrics and clinical data to support decision-making.

· Strong ability to function independently and as a member of a team dealing with multiple priorities in a complex environment.
