We are looking for a Basement Finishing Field Supervisor to join our team and grow with us. Our Total Basement Finishing division has been growing continuously due to our outstanding marketing programs, products, and company reputation.
This full-time position has a primary duty of assisting the Production Manager in managing the company’s installation and sub-contractor crews. You will be the primary point of contact for customers before, during, and after a project is completed. The ideal candidate will be able to customarily and regularly direct installation crews and the work to be installed. This role will support the company’s management, as well as our purpose, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manages the company’s crew leaders and sub-contractors in the field
- Has the authority and responsibility to allocate work, provide training, set and inspect performance expectations, evaluate performance, reward and recognize, discipline, and recommend wage changes, promotions, transfers, or any other change of employee status
- Visits job sites daily to deliver materials as needed, check on job progress, and possibly provides “handy-man” and/or repair services to customers as needed pertaining to the work the company installed
- Produces CAD drawings of the project for installation crews and submission to building departments for permitting
- Assists with pulling necessary permits
- Meets and communicates with customers, verifies contract details, and sets expectations for the work to be installed, works to overcome obstacles/problems on jobs and reach acceptable solutions
- Ensures customers have a remarkable experience
- Occasionally assists as a member of the installation crew
- Drives for the company in a safe and respectful manner
- Capable of regular, reliable on-site attendance
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- Knowledge of construction or related trades
- Knowledge of production management
- Ability and skill in operating equipment and/or power tools preferred
- Ability to operate a personal computer and software programs
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English
- Skill in verbal communication and presentation
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred
- Ability to make a schedule and keep deadlines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree in construction or business helpful
- Experience as a foreman/manager in the construction trades preferred
- A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field acceptable
- A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Detect/recognize information in written materials and on a computer screen
- Communicate accurately on the telephone and in-person with others
- Move about/Travel
- Accurately operate a computer and calculator
- Ascend/Descend/Move self to lower position to inspect items under, on, or close to floor level
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to enter and work in a crawlspace
- Ability to travel overnight, up to 5 days a week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000+ per year depending on experience
