Role Overview
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial, food and beverage packaging machines, both in-house and at our customers’ facilities. They are also responsible for training others on proper operation of the machines, completing all required service order paperwork for proper and timely invoicing, and providing overall exceptional customer service. The Service Technician will have industry knowledge and participate in

Responsibilities:
Experienced in reading electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Experienced in diagnosing and correcting PLC faults.
Requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Commission new machines before shipping to customers
Travel to customers’ facilities to diagnose and repair their industrial packaging equipment – respond professionally and timely to customer service requests.
Train customer personnel on the setup, running and maintenance of new, used and rental equipment.
Assist the sales team and service team in preparing machines for testing, and customer demonstration in the office.
Modify new machines electronically and mechanically for CSA, PSR inspection.
Assist in identification of spare parts for different machines.
Prepare and submit accurate service work orders for invoicing.
Continuously learn and upgrade your knowledge and skill level by taking the initiative to read manuals, ask questions, learn from fellow technicians and supplier technicians.
Report and coordinate your activities with the Technical Manager.
Required / Experience
College diploma in Electronic Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology or disciplines related to the field.
Minimum 5 years of direct work experience servicing industrial, food, beverage or and/or FMCG packaging equipment.
Valid Driver’s license / clean driving record and access to a vehicle
Knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems
Strong knowledge of SCM systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Strong quantitative and
critical thinking
skills.
Compensation details: 30-35 Hourly Wage
