Job Overview Summer Student – Labourer, Field
Location:
Fort McMurray, AB Reporting to:
Foreman, Field Services
Shift:
5×2;
Monday to Friday; 6:00am- 2:30pmResponsibilities
• Track and manage inventory on consumables and usage.
• Arrange and organize materials for jobs.
• Maintain checklists for shop tasks.
• Experience in production and manufacturing environment.
• Show some skill with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication skills.
• Duties may include moving machinery, tools and products to correct shop locations.
• Duties in the manufacturing process for general labor tasks.
• Deburring parts / prep for paint work.
• Assist Journeymen welders, mechanics and machinists. Follow directions from peers and supervisors.
Qualifications
• Completion of high school diploma
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Qualified candidates will have
strong work ethic
and mechanical ability
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Welding/ grinding skills an asset.
• Previous related experience an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and own transportation are required.
• OSSA, CSTS, Class C First Aid.
• Must have a strong safety focus.
