Job DescriptionBantrel are providing construction management services toHTECfor the construction of a hydrogen processing facility in Burnaby BC.

We are currently seeking a qualifiedField Engineerto join ourConstruction Teambased out ofBurnaby B.C. Reporting to the Project Construction Manager, the Field Engineer shall be the first point of contact for addressing any technical issue related to the sub-contractor Scope or Quality. The Field Engineer shall be familiar with Microsoft applications to issue technical queries, non-conformance reports, and other notices when necessary.Join usin this12 month+ contractrole you will be a champion ofdiversity and inclusion.Duties & Responsibilities

Review and endorse (or reject) design deliverables to verify constructability.

Coordinate Construction Work Package (CWP) interfaces between Contractors.

Review and endorse (or reject) proposed contractor Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP).

Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment within the project team.

Support schedule reviews through participation in weekly work front planning meetings.

Attend weekly project management meetings, where required.

Review and endorse (or reject) contractor deliverables and reports.

Process Technical Queries

Perform Field Inspection of Contractor completed works for all disciplines.

Sign applicable check sheets upon completion of field inspection.

Conduct Contractors Quality Surveillances

Attend weekly Contractor quality meeting.

Issue Non-Conformance Reports

Issue Quality Incidents

Identify scope changes or execution changes that impact cost or schedule for resolution with the project management team.

Verify and report Contractors installed Quantities on a weekly basis.

Prepare Field Sketches for Temporary Facilities when required.

Perform walkdowns with the Contractors upon completion of specific field activities and initiate a punch list.

Verify closure of punch items

Review and endorse (or reject) Turnover Documentation from the Contractors

Participate in and/or deliver training as required.

Qualifications

A recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

A professional Engineering license valid in Province of British Columbia is seen as an asset.
