Farm Hand/Labourer Jobs in Abbotsford at Western Turf Farms LTD
Western Turf Farms is a family owned and operated sod farm, and we’re excited to share that we’re seeking new members for the team!
We’re currently looking for General Farm Laborers that are reliable, happy to work outdoors and excited to contribute to a team goal!
As a Farm Laborer, daily tasks/responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting in the cultivation, maintenance (mowing) and harvesting of sod
Operating machinery/equipment such as forklifts, tractors and loaders
Performing irrigation duties and general farm work
Loading customer orders for assigned pickups
Lift up to 50lbs for heavy materials/objects as needed
For this type of job, previous experience in operating heavy equipment or machinery such as tractors/forklifts is an asset, but we’re happy to train if you’re ready to learn!
Our ideal candidate has:
Reliable transportation to work — There is no bus route nearby.
Ability to lift heavy objects for long periods of time
Understanding of mechanical equipment
A willingness to learn!
