Role Overview

The YMCA of Three Rivers is a charitable organization serving Guelph‑Wellington, Stratford‑Perth, and Waterloo Region. Our mission is to make diverse communities healthier and more vibrant. This position does not have a supervisory component but is critical to maintaining the wellness of our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑standard customer service to all participants in accordance with YMCA standards.
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas promptly and regularly: showers, washrooms, floors, hard surfaces, dispensers, and other support areas.
  • Stock and maintain cleaning supplies as required.
  • Wash, dry, and restock towels. Verify that all cleaning tasks meet the YMCA’s high standards for cleanliness.
  • Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
  • Perform the duties in a physically demanding environment, including frequent climbing of stairs and lifting up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar hospitality or cleaning environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.
  • Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment.
  • Valid WHMIS certificate and Standard First Aid with CPR‑C and AED is an asset.
  • Flexibility to support cleaning needs at the Guelph YMCA site.
